Oh, SHOPPING....

Well, here I am... I am wondering about my life and where I am going. I don't make a lot of money and I don't really like my job very well.  I struggle to save money and I don't have a very big savings account.  I am on my way home and I am stressing about work and money and bills..... when my good friend, Kim Iverson, comes on the radio. It just so happens, that Kim is talking about the recession on the radio tonight and some comforting advice begins to come out of her radio show.  After all the stressing and being ready to pull my hair out over my bank account, she manages to calm me down and make me realize that I could be worse off, or that I could be a man. ;)  In fact, it just so happens that I have a video clip to share! Hope you enjoy "Your Time with Kim Iverson":

Britney,

I have two ideas that I've been thinking about sharing with you and your mom recently. In regards to finances, thanks so much for your transparency and honesty. I went thru the Dave Ramsey Financial Peace class several years ago. I was so transformed by his teaching that I began facilitating the class at Madison Park Church. Based on what I know about you, (which isn't much!) you seem to enjoy learning new things. I could see you totally thriving in Dave's classes. They'll be starting up at MPC in January. -- And each year instead of making resolutions, I do two things. I do the "One Word Challenge" from KLOVE radio, and I create a vision board. Both exercises have been life changing as well. My one word for 2011 is "persistence", and my vision board will be built around that. "When you surround yourself with images of who you
want to become, what you want to have, where you
want to live or vacation, your life changes to match
those images and those desires. Your attention is that powerful." If you Google "Vision Board" you'll find quite a few links about it. Here are two links that I've referenced this week.

Blessings to you, new friend!

WOW!!! I am going to repost your links to our main page so all can see and partake. What great ideas you have, Faith. I am going to spend my weekend thinking upon my "one word" and my vision board. This year represents a new beginning for me (as you can read in my most recent blog post), so you couldn't have shared your ideas at a more perfect time :)

BTW... I envision myself with very little things to bind me and flip-flopping my way along a Caribbean beach with my man. I wonder what that means for me and my future... hmmm...

Thanks so much, Faith!
